
Michele Braga works as a sound designer, music producer and sound artist in cinema, art installation, theatre and music field.
His research spans various genres in a interdisciplinary exploration between avant-garde music, film, visual arts, multi-media installation and sound art.
Sound designer for the films of the DAU project by Ilya Khrzhanovsky during 2015-2016 (feat. Marina Abramovic, Peter Sellars, Carsten Holler, Robert Del Naja - Massive Attack, Brian Eno, among others), Michele has been responsible for the sound for range of projects: from sound installation to award-winning films and documentaries.
His works have been presented in numerous festivals and exhibitions including Venice International Film Festival, Venice (IT); Palazzo delle Esposizioni, Rome (IT), Grand Palais, Paris (FR), IFFR Festiva; Rotterdam (NL), Berlin International Film Festival, Berlin (DE), Theatre du Chatelet, Paris (FR), Torino Film Festival (IT), Nordisk Panorama, Malmo (SE), LEAP Gallery, Berlin (DE); MAN Museum, Nuoro (IT); Venice Biennale, Venice (IT); 91mq, Berlin (DE); ON - Luci di pubblica piazza, Bologna (IT), 23° Istants Video Festival, Marseille (FR); International Museum of music, Bologna (IT); MAMbo, Catodica, Bologna (IT); S.LOW’S projekt - Berlin (DE), PerAspera, Bologna (IT).
Network and selected artists : Ilya Khrzhanovsky, Anatoly Vassiliev, Romeo Castellucci - Societas Raffaello Sanzio, Martin Percy, Giorgio Andreotta Calò, Jonas Bak, Marta Cuscunà, Libia Castro e Ólafur Ólafsson, Carolyn Carlson, Paki Zennaro, Katrin Olafsdottir, among the others.
In 2017 Michele co-founded the project Corte Supernova in Venice where he also runs his own studio. Among the artists that crossed the studio project so far there are Robert Henke, Phill Niblock, Thomas Ankersmit , Ruben Patino & Daniele Guerrini and Renick Bell among others.
Michele currently lives between London and Venice.
